Reynolds number

Hello,
Im trying to simulate poiseuille flow and variate Reynolds number:
we have Re[sub]p[/sub]=U[sub]p[/sub]*H[sub]p[/sub]/nu[sub]p[/sub]= Reb=U[sub]b[/sub]*H[sub]b[/sub]/n[sub]b[/sub]
the index p means physics and b means boltzmann
for example for Re=50
Up[sub][/sub]=0.005m/s
H[sub]p[/sub]=0.01m
nu[sub]p[/sub]=10-6m²/s
for the Boltzmann case :
H[sub]b[/sub]=10
how to choose U[sub]b[/sub] and nu[sub]b[/sub]??
and when variate the reynolds number, i should variate U[sub]b[/sub] or nu[sub]b[/sub]??
Thank you

Hello,

this is similar to the question in this thread.
It is your choice. You have to select both in such a way that you obtain the correct Re and at the same time fulfill some LB requirements (e.g., velocity not too large, tau not too small etc.). Just go ahead, guess a value for tau (0.55, say) and complete the calculation. By the way, a channel width of 10 for Re = 50 seems a bit too small.
