Regularized lattice Boltzmann

Hi everybody,
While working on lattice kinetic scheme(see Inamuro’s work), I stumble accross Dr. Latt’s work on regularized lattice Boltzmann (RLBM). I followed his work and it seems that RLBM can also use physical value only to set the boundary condition, as in lattice kinetic scheme. Now, I am curious, based on Dr. Latt’s paper, RLBM is just another form of MRT-LBM (correct me if I misunderstood), does this means a) it should be able to perform simulation at Reynolds number as high as MRT b) the same result can be obtained from MRT-LBM code if every relaxation parameter is set to unity except the one for stress tensor ??

Any explainations?
