Hi guys, when evaluating the force on an obstacle through the moment evaluation method, the evaluation of the force should be done before or after the bounceback of the populations at the obstacle?
I mean:
Streaming
Collision
Force evaluation
Bounceback
Or
Streaming
Collision
Bounceback
Force evaluation
collide, to give you f’_i(x,t) nb: f’_i means post collisional f_i
boundary conditions, to give you f_j(x,t+1) nb j is the opposite direction to i
mom. exchange
stream.
Further details can be found in Mei et al 2002 and Tony Ladd’s original work (1994, I think)
thanks alot pleb, i have also another question:
i’m validating the code i wrote for a 2D particle (a circle) moving in a lid drviven cavity, can you suggest me a paper with some results i can compare with?
or otherwise which 2-D geometry and flow configuration would you suggest me, in order to validate the code for a moving circle?
