Macroscopic pressure field

Hello everyone,

I’m working on a basic multi-phase LB code. At present I want to recover from complex-geometries simulations all the macroscopic variables of Navier-Stokes equations and compare numerical and theoretical results.

Some questions arised:

  • I use a body force BF = \Delta P / \Delta L * 1 / \rho to simulate an incompressible flow; the macroscopic pressure should be:

    p=\rho*c_s^2 - \rho * BF * x ;

where x is the distance from the inlet. Is it right? Cause it doesn’t seem to take good results.

  • Is the body force approach suitable for complex geometries?

I red some papers but still looking for a good solution.
Thanks in advance!
