I put here one question may be for a lot of my friends it will be so easy but i want to know the exact procedure that how to calculate the length and width of the recirculation region for bluff bodies flows. I hope if some one have already an experience about this, they will be help me that how to calculate the length and width of recirculation region (for example for flow over circular cylinders).

same as for your previous post. this is postprocessing and is not easy to do by yourself. matlab does a good job with rootfinders (to find the center of the recirculation zone) or isosurface calculations (to estimate the size of the zone).
Thanks a lot adam for reply. Dear you mention in both cases to use matlab can you show me some examples using matlab that how to calculate the length and width of recirculation region.
