Lattice Boltzmann Method LBM: Theory

Hi,
I am rather new to the LB method and besides reading and trying out some things about it,
I also need to catch up on some of the mathematics involved. Could someone point me
to a place where I can learn about the Chapman-Enskog expansion? What sort of book may contain that, would that be functional analysis?
