Hi Palabos community,
I have been trying to replicate analysis documented in the paper titled…
“Evaluation of the lattice Boltzmann method for wind modelling in complex terrain”
written by Alain Schubiger, Sarah Barber, and Henrik Nordborg. Analysis was made using both Palabos LB code and Ansys with comparisons made.
A link was given to a publicly available repository containing the simulation setup files…
I’m running Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS, 64bit, Python 3.8.5.
The public archive only contained in one folder the following 5 files…
Makefile
README.md
bolundHill.cpp
bolundHill_0.25m_lineB.stl
param.xml
There was no CMakeLists.txt file included.
I’m new to the Palabos forum and in general to running the code but have had no problem running examples supplied with the Palabos code…until now that is.
Could someone help me out here to get this particular analysis running. I’m particularly interested in wind flow over open terrain and perhaps later, urban terrains with buildings.
There doesn’t appear to be any Palabos examples of this nature which led me to finding this particular model.
Any help greatly appreciated.
